Youth Care Worker Roles and Responsibilities within Active Care Services:
As a youth care worker with Active Care Youth and Adult Services, you will play a vital role in our organization. Your job will be rewarding, challenging, and ever changing. Duties include all aspects of maintaining and taking care of a household, participating with clients in recreational activities, tutoring youth through educational programs, working alongside young adults in vocational programs and supporting them through complex behavioural challenges.

This also includes professionalism when you are representing Active Care Youth and Adult Services in the community and/or when you identify yourself as an employee of Active Care Youth and Adult Services.

The requirements to apply for this position include but are not limited to:
- This position requires union membership
- Extensive experience and education relating to human services
- Two work references, One personal reference
- Class 5 Driver’s License
- Driver’s Abstract
- Out-of-Country Criminal Record Check (for individuals who have resided in Canada less than 5 years)
Available Position Details:
Casual and Full-time is available
Locations: Kamloops, Kelowna, Vernon, Terrace, Prince Rupert
This position is open to male, female and LGBTQ applicants
Shifts are anywhere from 12 hr and 24 hr. With the 24hr live in, sleep is on site in a private staff room.
For Northern resources, shifts are 1 week on 1 week off.
