Program Coordinator

Leadership Roles and Responsibilities within Active Care Services:

Program Coordinators manage resources, while providing guidance, training and support to frontline staff and assistant resource managers. You will also consult and support other Program Coordinators, as well as providing support and taking on delegated tasks delivered by Team Leaders, Human Resources and Program Directors.

Roles and Responsibilities while Supporting our Youth:

It is your role to be a positive support to the youth, treating each with dignity and respect, protecting and defending their rights and advocating for them. Oversight of documentation for the youth including meeting minutes, appointment minutes, daily notes, critical incident reports and month end reports. Attending ICM meetings and communicating with involved professionals on the youth’s care team. You must also be familiar with the Health and Safety department’s expectations, ensuring that evacuation drills and house inspections are being completed and documented monthly, and that emergency escape plans are up to date and posted.

Active Care Services Expectations of Program Coordinators:

It is our expectation that you will promote and reflect a positive team atmosphere when supporting our youth. This also includes professionalism when you are representing Active Care Youth and Adult Services in the community and/or when you identify yourself as an employee of Active Care Youth and Adult Services

Employment Requirements:

The requirements to apply for this position include but are not limited to:

-        Minimum 3 years supervisor experience in a staffed residential setting or a similar setting

-        Experience in Social Work or related field

-        Graduate of a recognized University program in Social Work or a related field 

-        Two work references, One personal reference

-        Class 5 Driver’s License

-        Driver’s Abstract

-        Out-of-Country Criminal Record Check (for individuals who have resided in Canada less than 5 years)
